A release focusing on improving security settings, including:
- New, separate Security settings page.
- Security administrator application role is now needed to update Security settings.
- New setting: Secondary site collection administrator group.
- Fix: Passed due date tasks should no longer be shown to visitors
The new setting will make it possible to automatically assign a selected security group as the site collection administrator for all new workspaces. This feature will make it easier for help desk or admin users to access all MetaShare workspaces when needed.
What do I need to do to use the feature?
MetaShare Online
You can assign the Security administrator application role in the Azure portal/Entra admin.
Self hosted and Server
Self hosted MetaShare online and MetaShare Server clients will find instructions in the Update-Azure.md or Update-OnPremises.md file included in the next release package.
