{"id":99650,"date":"2025-09-17T23:05:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T21:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metashare.com\/?p=99650"},"modified":"2025-09-22T09:32:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T07:32:59","slug":"17-september-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metashare.com\/en\/release-notes\/17-september-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"17 September 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MetaShare Orbit is updated with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an advanced option to write query conditions using Keyword Query Language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the possibility to test rules before activating them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the possibility to filter your defined rules in the rules page based on action (delete and move) and state (draft, published and inactive)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n<!--noteaser-->\n\n\n\n<p>MetaShare Orbit has now been updated with these new features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When creating archiving or deletion rules you can now switch between the previous term-based conditions, what we now refer to as simple rules, and an advanced option where you can write\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/orbit\/user-manual\/how-to-write-advanced-query-conditions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">advanced query conditions<\/a>, using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sharepoint\/dev\/general-development\/keyword-query-language-kql-syntax-reference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Keyword Query Language (KQL)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can now test your new rules before activating them, by clicking on a \u201cTest rule\u201d button. It will then launch a window displaying the number of documents that match the rule, in which sites they reside in as well as a table with a list of all the documents that match the rule. From this window you will also be able to export the result-list to a csv-file that has more information about the documents, making it possible for you to analyze the results more thoroughly before deciding to publish the rule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MetaShare Orbit\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/orbit.metashare.com\/archive-rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cRules\u201d page<\/a>\u00a0now has filters, the same way as it previously had in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/orbit.metashare.com\/archive-logs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cDocument log\u201d page<\/a>. The filters that will be shown are: Action (Delete and Move) and State (Draft, Published and Inactive). When opening the page, it will prefilter on Published rules (not showing drafts and inactivated rules).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MetaShare Orbit previously only supported the archival of documents of a content type that\u2019s managed\/published by SharePoint\u2019s content type hub.
