{"id":97635,"date":"2021-06-17T15:57:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-17T13:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.metashare.com\/?p=97635"},"modified":"2023-08-28T09:39:46","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T07:39:46","slug":"17-june-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metashare.com\/en\/release-notes\/17-june-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"17 June 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Document due dates, filter on multiple values, support for number columns<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n<!--noteaser-->\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-bc6094d6-a50a-43a6-8dfc-94dbfebc027d\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/receive-an-alert-when-a-documents-due-date-has-passed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Be able to receive an alert when a document\u2019s \u201cdue date\u201d has passed<\/a>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Due date tasks are good for keeping track of documents that expire or need to be reviewed after some period of time such as contracts or policies. When a document\u2019s due date has passed, the reviewer(s) get an e-mail notification and a task is shown in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-manage-document-tasks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MetaShare\u2019s tasks page<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to filter on multiple tags\/values of the same type:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a specific&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/adminmanual\/metashares-supported-site-columns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">managed metadata document column allows multiple values<\/a>, you can now&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-filter-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filter<\/a>&nbsp;on several of its tags\/values. The document view will only display the documents that are tagged with all of the selected tags\/values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show multiple value managed metadata fields\u2019 tags in multiple lines:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In order to see all values that a document has been tagged on, for a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/adminmanual\/metashares-supported-site-columns\/#managed-metadata-column\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">multiple value managed metadata fields<\/a>, the column\u2019s width is increased and values are shown in multiple lines if they do not fit the fixed width.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for \u201cNumber\u201d columns:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MetaShare now supports \u201cNumber\u201d columns (a single line of text field that only permits numeric values). These columns are shown in MetaShare\u2019s document property forms and they can also be shown in a workspace\u2019s document view.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancement to the documents\u2019 batch edit form:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have selected multiple documents and click on the \u201cProperty\u201d function in the toolbar, the documents\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-edit-documents-properties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">batch edit form<\/a>&nbsp;will be displayed. If the document library has \u201corphaned\u201d columns (columns that previously have been used but are not to be used anymore), these orphaned columns were previously shown in the document property form. These orphaned columns are not shown anymore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search based results when there are more than 5 000 documents:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a filter in a workspace matches more than 5 000 documents, MetaShare will now add a wildcard search (*) and proceed with a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-search-for-documents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">search-results view<\/a>, as a workaround for SharePoint\u2019s list view threshold limitation. A descriptive message is also displayed in the message bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to share a document that is read-only:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previously, the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-share-a-document-or-a-document-view\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Share<\/a>\u201d button was not shown when a document was read-only, for the logged in user.
