{"id":97613,"date":"2019-04-11T15:39:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T13:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.metashare.com\/?p=97613"},"modified":"2023-08-28T09:47:13","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T07:47:13","slug":"11-april-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metashare.com\/en\/release-notes\/11-april-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"11 April 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cut and paste documents, Renamed Alerts to Tasks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n<!--noteaser-->\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The \u201cAlerts\u201d function has been renamed to \u201cTasks\u201d and has a new icon&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" height=\"26\" src=\"https:\/\/metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-375.png\" alt=\"MetaShare's &quot;Tasks&quot; function\">. The functionality is same as before, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-manage-document-tasks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Managing document tasks<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To facilitate the operation of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-move-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moving documents<\/a>&nbsp;from one workspace to another a few enhancements have been done:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When documents are&nbsp;pasted into a workspace, using the \u201cCut\u201d and \u201cPaste\u201d functions, the batch edit form&nbsp;is&nbsp;shown, enabling&nbsp;batch&nbsp;edits on&nbsp;selected&nbsp;metadata fields. Any metadata values from the source workspace that are available in the destination workspace will be copied but these could be overwritten by selecting any values in the batch edit form. If the destination workspace already has been pre-filtered&nbsp;on certain values, prior to the paste operation, the values will also be pre-filled in the document property form:<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"387\" src=\"https:\/\/metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-377.png\" alt=\"Pasting documents in a workspace\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the source and destination workspaces have different configurations and the destination workspaces is configured to just have one content type, the moved documents will be changed to that content type. Because of this, pasted documents that&nbsp;do not have values on required fields will be shown under \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/how-to-manage-document-tasks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tasks<\/a>\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From MetaShare, you have been able to access Help, Feedback &amp; About, when clicking on the&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"26\" src=\"https:\/\/metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-389.png\" alt=\"MetaShare's &quot;Help&quot; icon\">&nbsp;icon&nbsp;in&nbsp;MetaShare\u2019s&nbsp;top bar:<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"234\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-390.png\" alt=\"Elements under the MetaShare &quot;Help&quot; icon\"><br>The help pages that you get to, after having clicked on \u201cHelp\u201d menu, have been&nbsp;rewritten and rearranged to four sections:&nbsp;User&nbsp;Manual,&nbsp;Admin&nbsp;Manual, FAQ and&nbsp;Known&nbsp;Issues.
