These are the manual steps needed

Manual step – phase 1 – publish content types

The steps below are to be done after you receive mail nr 1 from us.

  1. Click on the links to the content types that we supplied you with in the e-mail (one by one) and click on the “OK” button:
  2. Once the content type has been published you can just close the content type tab and publish the next content type (if you have more than one content type to publish).

Manual step – phase 2 – map managed properties

The steps below are to be done after you receive mail nr 2 from us.

  1. Open SharePoint’s search schema:
    1. Login to Office 365 and open the “Admin” app:

    2. Open the SharePoint admin center:

    3. Open “search” settings. If you are using the Classic admin center you find it here:

    4. Open the “Manage Search Schema”:

  2. For each of the crawled properties, that you received in the e-mail from us, do the following:
    1. Search for “RefinableString” under the “Managed Properties” tab:

    2. Click on the managed property with no “Mapped Crawled Properties”:
    3. In the section “Mappings to crawled properties”, click on “Add a Mapping”:

      Search for the crawled property that you received in the e-mail from us, select it and then click on the form’s “OK” button.  Let us know if you can’t find the crawled property that we sent you.
    4. Document which crawled property you mapped to which managed property, e.g. RefinableString08.
    5. Click on the “OK” button on the bottom of the page.
  3. Reply the mail that we sent you, with a list of which crawled properties were mapped with which managed properties.
